These are some shots of a photographic sesion I had with Sofia, my wife. We had this photo sesion on mid-town Torino on a sunny day last week. Hope you like some of the shots.

Nasty PlayStation 3

It was already time for me to clean my PlayStation after all these years. I got it back on 2007 and I’ve never done any kind of internal cleaning, so I decided it was just about time to get into it’s guts for the first time. So, with an screwdriver in hand and compressed air in the other I opened this piece of hardware only to discover the mess inside.

This is the view from the top of my PlayStation 3 without the cover.

First look to the inside and I am already waiting for the worse.

PlayStation 3 is really a dust attractor device, look at this mess.

Dust in here is so hard to remove, even with compressed air.

Too much dust into the power unit and you may have over heating problems.

The BluRay unit is also nasty and needs some cleaning.

A lot of work and I am just cleaning only the top of the console. This is what I call a nasty job.

Mock-up effect on Rome

After 500 steps up you can have this spectacular view of the Vatican gardens and the marvelous city of Rome. This is the kind of view you can admire from the top of the campanile at St. Peter’s Basilica in Rome. I choose 6 snapshots to practice a new effect to show your pictures like mock-ups or toy models.

LOMO effect practice 1

Visiting Antonio Tajuelo’s blog I met this kind of photographic effect called LOMO (after a Russian photographic manufacturer of the same name).

I liked the kind of pictures and effects that you can accomplish so I decided to investigate further. Finally, I got to ‘Digital Photography School’ online and found a post where they explain how you can apply this effect to your digital photos. You can find the article here.

I picked up 5 random photographs of the alFaku stock and applied what I learned there. I hope you like them.
